Fork and Plough: Greenville, SC

Sunday Brunch at Fork and Plough

For this week’s brunch, I visited Fork and Plough in the Historic Overbrook area of Greenville, South Carolina. They pride themselves on being a neighborhood restaurant with their own market and butchery inside. Fork and Plough serves Sunday brunch from 10 AM - 2 PM.

My Order:

  • Berry Spritz (berries, cranberry, aperol, cava)

  • Grilled Chicken Sandwich (caramelized fennel, brie, blackberry mustard, french fries)

Berry Spritz + Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Review:

Fork and Plough is a hidden gem! My entire experience was pleasant. The restaurant is cute and quaint with indoor seating and a screened-in outdoor patio with seating as well. Inside the restaurant, you will find a full wine bar and a meat counter in the back where you can purchase locally grown meat. It gave me half restaurant, half market vibes.

Masks were required upon entry and the tables were spaced out inside for safety during this time. They also had multi-purpose cleaning wipes on each table which was different than any other brunch place I’ve been to.

It definitely is a neighborhood, hometown restaurant. The host at the door knew some people by name when they entered. I appreciate that they use locally grown food and support local. Fork and Plough also switches up their menu everyday so you never know what will be on the menu each day.

My waitress was very nice. The food came out quickly and warm. I really enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Grilled chicken can be a hit or miss sometimes because it is easy for the chicken to come out dry, but this was a hit!! The chicken was moist and had a great combination of flavors. The french fries were crispy and reminded me of fair fries (which I love!). I also enjoyed the Berry Spritz. They poured it heavy! The drink was refreshing and did not have the bitter aftertaste that can come with cava. Overall, great!!

B.I.T.S. Rating

I would give Fork and Plough 4.5 out of 5 stars. I have no complaints at all. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. If you are ever in the Greenville area, add Fork and Plough to your list!

What I Wore:

For this look, I paired ripped, black denim shorts with a flowy button-down top and heels. It is the peak of summertime right now so it is very hot outside. Breathable tops are a must in warmer weather. I also love the look of tucking one side of a button down shirt into my pants and letting the other side hang. I think it adds a fashionable twist to the outfit. Let me know your thoughts on the look!
