Brunch At Home!

For this week’s post, I am doing something a little different. Instead of going to a brunch spot, I brought brunch to the house! It is getting colder outside and some people might not want to go out to restaurants especially now that outdoor options won’t be available.

Also, some people haven’t felt comfortable leaving the house anyways for health reasons so I wanted to provide a cool idea for brunch at home! Read until the end for warm, fall-themed coffee recipes!

Brunch Board!

Brunch Charcuterie Board

For my brunch at home, I decided to create a Brunch Charcuterie Board. This idea was inspired by @cater2ukitchen16 on Instagram (go check hers out, it was much more extravagant than mine!)

This idea is simple and easy. You start by picking your breakfast/brunch favorites. Then, you chef it up and organize it on a wooden tray or cutting board and ta da!

My board includes:

  • Cinnamon Sugar Turkey Bacon (My specialty!)

    • Heat oven to 375*

    • Season with salt, pepper, and cinnamon sugar

    • Cook for 5 minutes on each side (cook for 7 mins. for crispier bacon)

  • Scrambled Eggs

  • Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls

  • Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal with Strawberries

  • Garlic Roasted Potatoes

  • Fresh Fruit (strawberries and grapes are my fav!)

Some other additions could be chicken & waffles, mini pancakes, shrimp and grits, or omelets! The best part about a brunch board is that you have creative control to put whatever you want on it. Let me know your favorite brunch items in the comments!

Coffee Ideas

I don’t know about you, but I am a huge coffee drinker. I blame it on the long nights during law school! During the fall, one of my favorite drinks at Starbucks is their very popular Pumpkin Spice Latte. Two more favorites that are perfect for fall are the Cinnamon Dolce Latte and the Chai Tea Latte.

But instead of going out to get them, you can make them at home! Below are the ingredients needed for each drink and a link to the exact recipe:

Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • 2 tbs. pumpkin purée

  • 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

  • Ground black pepper

  • 2 tbs. granulated sugar

  • 2 tbs. vanilla extract

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1-2 shots espresso

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Recipe found here!

Cinnamon Dolce Latte

  • 1/2 cup espresso

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1/4 cup cinnamon dolce syrup

  • Whipped cream

  • Cinnamon

Recipe found here!

Chai Tea Latte

  • 2 black tea bags

  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger

  • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 tbs. French vanilla nondairy creamer

Recipe found here!

I hope these recipes come in handy when you want a warm drink on a fall day. If you make any of the drinks or decide to do your own Brunch Board, I would love to know! Thanks for reading!

Thank you for stopping by this week’s blog post! I hope you will come back for more. Until next time, always remember to be kind.
